Random ADHD Lemon #4: The Lemonade Stall
Juicy reads, neurodivergent wins, and citrus-flavoured chaos. Are you ready for the revamped "Random ADHD Lemon" series? Let's go!! 🍋🧠
Welcome back to a brand new edition of “Random ADHD Lemon”! But this time with a little twist!🍋 Starting from today, I will be sharing a completely revamped, unplanned, truly random, and yet informative service post. Imagine it like a lemonade stall of all kinds of citrus fruits: Oranges, limes, clementines, grapefruits and more.
Eh, ok?! What exactly is happening here? If you have been following my works, you might have noticed a subtle absence of Random ADHD Lemon posts, in total contradiction to my promised 1 to 2 week schedule of this format. If you didn’t notice it yet, ignore what you just read. And iff you’re new here, jump straight down to the round up of posts at Six Random Lemon Bites.
My initial idea was to share small but thought-through tips, tricks, and recommendations for ADHDers like me. From my first edition about mood tracking apps and my journaling technique, over the second edition about some basic apps and online tools I use, to the last edition in September 2024 where I presented my favourite fidgeting tools. However, I had initially planned to go into healthy social media use next. This didn’t happen. Another failed, too ambitious idea?! Not this time. Instead of putting it on the shelf to collect dust, I will revive this series and transform it into something that allows me to share and recommend not only tricks but also my favourite reads on Substack from fellow ADHDers and other neurodivergent minds I stumble upon. With hidden gems and even a treat for my German readers at the bottom.
Sounds good? Then without further delay — let’s get right to it:
🍋 Six* Random Lemon Bites
💗 Here are two picks from
where writes about: ”How to build a routine with ADHD that's ACTUALLY sustainable”, and: ”When ADHD makes you feel like a bad friend”.🖍 Here is a nice piece about ”ADHD, RSD, and Writing: How Rejection Sensitivity Impacts Our Creative Work” by
. It’s worth the read for my fellow struggling ADHD writers.🛏 I stumbled upon a post by
about ADHD and sleep. I might not be the typical night owl, but many fellow ADHDers I know have issues with that — and indeed, science says it is a thing. Read her well-researched article right here: ”ADHD & sleep are…complicated”🌄
dropped a science-based post about hypermobility, anxiety, and ADHD, and how it’s connected, on her newsletter for women with ADHD. Read it here: “Are You an ADHD Woman with These Symptoms?”🧠 Another science-based post for women with ADHD by
on is about PMS, ADHD medication and increasing symptoms. Here you go: “How do hormones affect Women with ADHD?”🏹 In Hunter’s Stories
shares stories from ADHDers. This one dropped recently: “ADHD Relationships: Acceptance is Very Powerful Stuff!” and it’s truly a good lesson for differing chronotypes in relationships. Because sleep is important to manage negative ADHD patterns.
*It’s actually seven posts in this list. Could you let that slide this time?😅 Let’s move on to the next category.

🟢 Hidden Limes: What do you call great pieces that didn’t receive the attention they deserve? Hidden Limes. Here's a few zesty reads that flew under the radar.
🔥 This piece by
really spoke to me ”When You Stop Needing, You Start Having”. It is a Hidden Lime, because the author is actually well known but this post needs some more attention. Let’s make that happen.
🖌 Zero Talent’s “No. 3: Talking about mental health + first 5 sketches” by
A true gem born from grief, and written by a neurodivergent author grappling with the loss of his brother. This one comes with a Trigger Warning as it touches on several sensitive topics, including suicide. This series of posts highlights the importance of mental health awareness and the need of seeking professional help as well as building a good support system.🌱 Looking for a little wholesome expectations vs. reality post about taking a break? Then read
’s post: “A Journey through Unplanned Delights with the Wisdom of Self-Kindness” on .
A little treat for my German readers:
